Range Control

Polytronic delivers world-class Range Control Systems with AROS being its core, providing unmatched flexibility and performance.

AROS is the next generation of Polytronic’s range management and target control software. It has been developed with the end-user in mind; easy to use, easy to learn, yet still delivering the most technologically advanced range operating system available in the market today.

Scalability

AROS is highly configurable, allowing it to control all Polyronic systems in any configuration as determined by the client. AROS can control the target systems required to perform a Combined Arms live-fire battle ran with infantry, tank, and air to ground targets just as easily as it can a basic 100m Group and Zero shoot for an Infantry Section. It has the capability to be multi-lingual – changing between languages can occur at the touch of a single button. Seamless integration of Polytronic Robotic Targets is a given and emphasizes the flexibility of the system.

Flexibility

AROS can be installed on various hardware platforms to accommodate different requirements. Its scalability allows installation of AROS on high performance server hardware for larger training range complexes or on COTS Tablet PCs or the Polytronic proprietary Tablet for portable applications. Drag and drop functionality for CQB ranges or a customized user interface are only some of the features of AROS. Additional devices can be added, and their purpose be selected by the range operator.

Compatibility

AROS is based on an platform independent core that delivers speed critical functionality. It allows for the advanced integration of emerging robotic target technology and highly advanced lateral and oblique movers. The integration of simulation systems and environmental effects is seamless with AROS. Polytronic is dedicated to providing soldiers unparalleled training systems to ensure success in a live operating environment. Range Control Network & Infrastructure

Complex ranges require complex infrastructure with guaranteed reliability and performance to operate and control live-fire targetry equipment. Polytronic designs, provides and installs range network infrastructure according to range size. Third party systems can be added as stand-alone or integrated into AROS due to its highly flexible communication layer. Whether wired or wireless communication means, Polytronic only uses state-of-the-art technology to guarantee fast and safe control of the full spectrum of targets within the range.
